The Miss Ghana 2020 Beauty Pageant came to a successful end on the 21ST of August, 2020, with Miss Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui being crowned the winner. Miss Monique, an alumna of the BlueCrest University College described her journey to becoming Miss Ghana 2020 as an exhilarating one even though it wasn’t easy. She expressed her gratitude for this opportunity and she’s ecstatic about representing Ghana at the Miss World 2020 Pageant set to take place in 2021.
Miss Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui graduated from the BlueCrest University College in 2018 after attaining a Higher Diploma in Fashion & Design. We vividly remember her journey here as a student. Her willingness to participate in school activities, fashion shows, and many more. We remember how she would always model for her Predecessors during the school’s fashion shows while she was a student and even after she completed her Diploma program.
It’s amazing to see her be an inspiration to other young ladies and assuring them that they can be whoever they decide to be. She made an impact in the lives of her colleagues during her time here, and she’s remembered by her lecturers for her calm but strong personality, and her zeal to learn.
Today, BlueCrest College celebrates Miss Monique’s achievements by awarding her the BlueCrest Rectorial Scholarship. The Rector of the school, Dr. Anand Agrawal expressed how proud he was of Miss Monique, and her ability to exhibit attributes that are part of the BlueCrest pillars, Leadership, and Innovation.
Miss Monique expressed her appreciation to her alma mater for the love, and for also grooming her during her days as a student. She encouraged us never to look down on ourselves. “The journey wasn’t easy, I tried my best and God did the rest. If you have a dream or ambition never look down on yourself. Take a step, believe you can, and you surely will”.
