On the 10th of April 2021, BlueCrest Management held its annual summit at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Accra. This annual gathering initiated by Dr. Anand Agrawal, the Rector of the college, was to allow members of staff to sit together as a team, express their concerns, share their ideas, and also bond.
Upon arrival, the BlueCrest members of staff were divided into 4 groups based on their roles in the college. We had the Admission Aces, Student Champs, Academic Masters and Skill Techs.

The event began with breakfast and a presentation by Dr. Anand on the long and short-term goals of the school. He expressed his satisfaction with how well each department was doing so far, and how we can achieve more by working as a team. He also shared some new initiatives that are being planned to help in staff development, and enable each individual to become better in their roles and every aspect of their lives. Additionally, new staff members who were promoted over the past year were acknowledged. This served as a source of encouragement to all staff members to work harder to also attain similar goals.
Each team was also given the opportunity to present how they understood their objectives and the step that can be taken to make those objectives a reality.
We went on a lunch break after a couple of hours, where we had a buffet of assorted local and continental meals. After eating to our satisfaction we gathered to have our last session for the day: our fun and games session. This session was led by the Head of CPED, Mr. Todd, and the Marketing Manager, Miss Onyekachi.
The first game involved two players, where player A had to draw on a sheet of paper on the back of player B, and player B had to draw what he or she felt on a whiteboard. This game was to depict how information may be miscommunicated from one department to another if the communication isn’t done properly, and if one party isn’t paying attention.
The second game which was hosted by Mr. Todd was “Two Truths and a Lie”. During this game, each individual had the chance to share fun facts about themselves while including one lie. The rest of the players had to guess which statement was a lie. This game was extremely exciting as we got to know each other better and helped us bond.
The retreat was insightful and exciting, and we’re sure to see fruitful results from all the discussions we had.
